Araksa Tea Garden is nestled in the verdant foothills of Ban Chang, Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai, where lush forests, fertile soils, and a cool mountain climate create the ideal conditions for cultivating exceptional organic tea.The name Araksa comes from the Sanskrit word meaning "to preserve", a philosophy that continues to guide everything we do. From protecting the land and nurturing healthy tea plants to honouring Thailand's tea-growing heritage, preservation lies at the heart of Araksa.Spanning 111 acres at an elevation of 520 metres, Araksa is one of Thailand's oldest tea gardens. After remaining untouched for more than 15 years, the land was naturally restored, allowing its tea plants to grow free from chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilisers. This unique history laid theperfect foundation for organic tea cultivation. In 2014, the estate entered a new chapter under new stewardship, carefully restoring both the land and its tea-making heritage. Today, Araksa is proud to be the first tea garden in Thailand to receive both USDA Organic and EU Organic certification for its farm and tea factory, reflecting our enduring commitment to quality, sustainability, and the preservation of Thailand's rich tea-growing tradition.

The People Behind Araksa

Raju Subba
Tea Plantation & Production Manager

Tea has been my life's work for more than 25 years. My journey began in the mist-covered tea gardens of Darjeeling, India, where I spent sixteen years learning the traditions of tea cultivation, estate management, and fine
tea craftsmanship.

In 2016, I joined Araksa Tea Garden in Chiang Mai, bringing this experience into the world of sustainable organic farming. Today, I oversee our tea plantation, production, and the ongoing development of our botanical garden, always guided by the belief that exceptional tea begins with a healthy ecosystem.

Working with nature has taught me that every season offers something new. By nurturing biodiversity and respecting the rhythms of the land, we can craft teas and botanicals that reflect both the character of our garden and our commitment to quality, environmental stewardship, and the generations to come.

A Note from the Founder

Tea came late into my life. Our land became my teacher, gently revealing the many layers of its complexity from the scent of the soil after the rain to the shifting aromas of each season.

This deep connection with nature has guided me to create twenty new teas
and botanicals. Alongside the classic teas you have come to love, I am introducing these new blends that have lived in my mind for years, each one thoughtfully crafted from the sensory secrets the land has revealed to me.

Over time, these lessons have inspired a new chapter for Araksa. This collection represents the culmination of everything our garden has taught us, bringing tea and botanicals together in perfect, intentional harmony.

Our tea garden is unexpected. It is a deliberate blend of thoughtful care and
wild wellness. We intentionally cultivate forest canopies and shaded areas to capture flavours, preserve aromas, and welcome the butterflies, bees, and dragonflies that bring our garden to life.

A New Era of Araksa

Pure Botanical Infusions

Seven years in the making. We are launching seven standalone botanicals grown entirely in our garden. It took nearly a decade to find the exact plants that offered the perfect alignment of flavour, visual beauty, and health benefits. Think of these not simply as herbal infusions, but as fine artisanal perfumes, offering a small window into our garden.

Signature Tea & Botanical Infusions

Following the path of our beloved Joy Tea, infused with Magnolia Champaca, I am delighted to introduce Kismet—a harmonious blend of garden-grown kaffir lime and premium black tea, with delicate notes of orange blossom and citrus, reminiscent of holding a fresh bouquet of orange flowers in your hands.

Garden Blends

In every tea category, we have integrated botanical elements grown right here in our garden from delicate roses, lotus, torch ginger, and osmanthus to rare coffee flowers. Many of these blends are deeply connected to the changing seasons of our garden, designed to evoke moments such as the scent of the earth after the rain or the quiet stillness beneath the shade of a flowering tree.

Warm & Robust Comforts

For those seeking depth, we have introduced the warm, rich character of cacao into our black teas. Blended with our signature Earl Grey and Thai Tea, these selections offer the comforting richness of fine chocolate in a cup.

This initiative is deeply rooted in inclusivity. I truly believe that everyone should be able to experience a piece of our garden, which is why we have focused on creating teas and botanicals that are entirely organic, health-
conscious, and rich in natural benefits. It is a collection designed to nourish both the body and the senses.

I hope these teas and botanicals allow you to experience a little of what this garden has shared with me.
